...beyond books

We love books. We aren't aiming to replace them.  But we've noticed that the world is changing, and that the way people choose to learn and entertain themselves is changing too. We'd like to find ways of keeping alive the love of books and reading by providing content that's attractive to readers and learners living in a world where books compete with TV, computer games, the internet and cellphones. We want to enhance and supplement printed books, thus encouraging their use and sales. In short we aim to bring books to life.

What CAN'T you do electronically that you can do with a book?

You can't make a tactile electronic book for children, with furry animals that they can stroke. You can't put a perfume sample on a screen. You can't do braille. A while ago you couldn't read your screen on the way to work on the train, but now of course you can, if you have a cellphone. Apart from this, anything that you can present in a book you can present electronically.

What CAN you do electronically?
